Realistic Quotes. Unfortunately, where there are
rebates there will also be cowboys. Some sales people
inflate the rebate value and/or add GST to the rebate value
to give the impression that their system is much cheaper
than it really is. When the system is installed they
will adjust the rebate back to the true value and the
customer is asked to pay hundreds/thousands of dollars
extra. For
the purposes of this price indication we have used a
realistic REC
value. When comparing prices you need to
make sure that you fully understand the way that each
company has calculated the REC or Solar Credits Discount,
the value that they are using for the RECs, if they
have added GST to the REC value, and the terms and
conditions relating to this discount. Most companies,
including Central Solar Systems, quote on the basis that the
price will be adjusted according to the REC value on the day
of installation. You should clarify with each company
if and how the price will be adjusted if the REC value
changes.
