Government Rebates The government is offering considerable rebates to
assist people to install greenhouse friendly technology.
Rebates
significantly reduce the effective price of a solar or heat pump hot water
system. Rebates are not available for pool heating systems. Two rebates
are available: RECs Many solar and heat pump hot water systems purchased and installed in
Australia will qualify for renewable energy certificates. Quantum heat pump hot water systems qualify. These certificates apply to
solar and heat pump hot water systems being installed on a new
house or which replace an existing electric or gas hot water
system which has been installed for more than 12 months. A
reduced number of certificates will be issued if a new system is
replacing an existing solar hot water system.
Central Solar Systems can generally apply the RECs rebate as
a discount at the time of purchase. The value of RECs can change, so we recommend that you contact
us and we will be happy to let you know the amount of the current rebate.

technologies. Rebates of $1000 are available in eligible
circumstances to install solar and heat pump hot water systems
to replace existing electric storage hot water systems. Eigible
systems (Quantum is an eligible system)
